Alex Brown pitched a one-hit shutout on Monday (March 28) as Villa Grove blanked visiting Salt Fork, 11-0, in a non-conference softball game.
She was backed by an offense that put up two first-inning runs and swatted 11 hits in the five-inning contest.
Alison Pangburn finished with a single, double and triple. Maci Clodfelder, Emma Bratten-Noice and Logan Lillard all collected two hits.
Pangburn drove in two runs. Bratten-Noice and Pangburn both scored two runs.
Villa Grove (4-6) returns to action on Thursday (March 31) at Windsor.
