SJO baseball overpowers Salt Fork
By Fred Kroner
Adam Price silenced Salt Fork on one hit during his four-inning pitching stint on Monday (March 31) as St. Joseph-Ogden overpowered the Storm, 13-2, in a non-conference baseball game.
Price struck out eight batters and walked one.
The SJ-O lead stood at 3-2 entering the bottom of the fourth, but a 10-run outburst resulted in a win by the run rule after the top of the fifth inning.
Hayden Brazelton, who struck out three batters in the one inning he pitched, led the SJ-O offense with three hits.
Brazelton and Price each drove in three runs. Brazelton, Price and Andrew Beyers crossed home plate twice each.
SJ-O (5-1) returns to action on Thursday (March 31) at home against St. Thomas More.
