In its opening Vermilion Valley Conference softball game of the season on Monday (April 4), Oakwood dropped a 12-2 decision at home to Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin.

Oakwood’s hits were spread around to five players: Alaina Rothwell, Gracie Enos, Savannah Nevitt, Olivia Fegett, and Bella Bradford.

Karsen Rupp struck out five batters and pitched a seven-inning complete game.

Oakwood (1-5 overall) returns to action on Friday (April 8) at Iroquois West.
