Oakwood softball drops a decision at Watseka

Oakwood’s softball team had more hits (16-12), but fewer runs on Monday (April 11) and dropped an 8-5 decision at Watseka.
Karsen Rupp took the loss. She struck out five batters in six innings.
The Oakwood offense was led by Bella Bradford and Audrey Schnaus, with three hits apiece. Finishing with two hits each were Samantha Dunavan, Rylan Manning, Savannah Nevitt and Rupp.
Bradford, Dunavan and Rupp drove in runs during a three-run sixth inning.
On Tuesday (April 12), Oakwood suffered an 11-1 loss at Danville.
Rupp, Nevitt and Dunavan had hits for the Comets.
Gracie Enos took the loss, but struck out three batters in three innings.
Oakwood (2-8) returns to action on Friday (April 15) at home against Milford.
