Villa Grove made the most of its four hits and posted a walk-off win at home on Monday (April 11) over Tri-County, 6-5, in a Lincoln Prairie Conference baseball game.
Sam Bender had two hits for the Blue Devils. Luke Zimmerman swatted a triple and had two RBI. Connor Clark, who relieved Bender on the mound in the seventh inning, picked up the win.
Bender struck out five in his 6 1/3-inning stint.
Villa Grove (3-7 and 2-0 in the LPC) returns to action on Monday (April 18) at Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond.
