Brazelton hits two home runs in win over Prairie Central

Hayden Brazelton was 4-for-4 with two home runs – the second time in the last three games that he had that stat line – powering the St. Joseph-Ogden baseball team to a 16-4 conquest at Prairie Central on Monday (April 18).
Brazelton drove in five runs.
Griffin Roesch had a home among his two hits. Other Spartans with two hits were Luke Landrus and Adam Price.
Landrus totaled three RBI. Roesch knocked in two runs. Brazelton scored four runs and Connor Hale tallied three runs.
Tyler Altenbaumer (6-0) pitched a six-inning two-hitter. He walked no one and fanned nine batters.
On Tuesday (April 19), the Spartans collected a 10-2 win at Oakwood.
Caleb Ochs became the second SJ-O pitcher with four wins this spring. He toiled four innings, walking two and fanning six. Hale worked three scoreless innings in relief and struck out seven batters.
Brazelton and Hale sparked the offense with three hits each. Andrew Beyers and Charles Voorhees each contributed two hits.
Voorhees knocked in a game-high four runs. Hale and Landrus each had two RBI. Voorhees tallied three runs while Beyers and Roesch scored twice each.
SJ-O (16-2) returns to action on Thursday (April 21) at home against Pontiac.
