Five Hawks finish in top 10 at Tuscola Open

Heritage had five individuals and one relay place among the top 10 on Friday (April 22) in the 36th Tuscola Open girls’ track and field meet.
The top finisher for the Hawks was fourth-place performances achieved by Lillian Montgomery (3,200 meters in 14 minutes, 28.71 seconds), Loran Tate (triple jump at 31 feet, 5 inches) and Kamryn Soard, who tied for fourth in the high jump at 4 feet, 6 inches).
Tate also captured an eighth-place finish in the long jump (14 feet, 5 inches) as well as an eighth-place finish in the 200 meters (29.29 seconds).
Bailee Lubben crossed sixth in the 400 meters (1:17.15). Madi Wilson ended 10th in the 300-meter hurdles (1:02.61).
Heritage also had a sixth-place finish from its 800-meter relay of Tate, Wilson, Lubben and Alex Tatman). They were timed in 2:03.64.
The Hawks placed 12th with 10 points. Meet champion Tuscola wound up with 103 points.
Heritage returns to action on Friday (April 29) at the Monticello Invitational.
