Austin McDaniel recorded three top-10 finishes for Oakwood on Friday (April 22) at the Unity boys’ track and field invitational.
He was fourth overall in the110-meter hurdles (17.36 seconds) as well as in the 300-meter hurdles (44.78 seconds). McDaniel also added a 10th-place finish in the triple jump (38 feet, 3 inches).
Thomas Wells finished fifth in the 3,200 meters (11 minutes, 54.26 seconds). Saul Carillo was seventh in the 400 meters (55.31 seconds).
The Comets’ 1,600-meter relay foursome of Connor Smith, Kaden McDaniel, Jakob Rupp and Carillo finished fifth in 3:54.64.
Oakwood placed 14th in the 18-school meet with 12 points.
Oakwood returns to action on Friday (April 29) in the Spartan Classic, in St. Joseph.
