The top two finishers for the Heritage girls’ track and field team both came in the triple jump on Friday (April 29) at the Monticello Invitational.
Loran Tate placed seventh (30 feet, 8 inches) and teammate Kamryn Soard tied for eighth (29 feet, 9 inches).
Tate ended 11th in the 200 meters (29.46 seconds). Lillian Montgomery was 14th in the 3,200 meters (14:22.51).
The Hawks’ top-finishing relay was the 800-meter unit. Tate, Madi Wilson, Soard and Alex Tatman took 13th in 2:13.87. All four runners are freshmen.
Heritage will return to action on Friday (May 6) in the Lincoln Prairie Conference meet at Cerro Gordo.
