Spartans fall by one run to Mahomet-Seymour

St. Joseph-Ogden suffered its fifth one-run loss of the softball season on Thursday (April 28), dropping a 1-0 decision at home to Mahomet-Seymour.
Addie Martinie stroked two of the Spartans’ three hits. One of her hits was a double. Hallie Brazelton also had a hit.
Madison Stevens pitched all seven innings for SJ-O, scattering six hits while striking out five Bulldogs.
M-S scored the game’s lone run in the seventh inning.
Neither team made an error and the two pitchers collectively issued just three walks.
The Spartans (17-8-1) return to action on Monday (May 2) at home against Monticello.
