Two Oakwood entries competed in an IHSA bass fishing sectional on Thursday (May 5) at Lake Shelbyville.
One of the Comets’ entries ended seventh in the 25-team event with catches totaling 5 pounds, 8 ounces.
The school’s other entry was 15th with catches totaling 1 pound, 3 ounces.
The top three finishers qualified for state. The third-place team from Neoga had catches totaling 7 pounds, 15 ounces.
