Georgetown-Ridge Farm wins by 1 over Oakwood

Georgetown-Ridge Farm scored a run with two outs in the bottom of the seventh inning on Monday (May 9) and walked off with a 3-2 baseball victory over Oakwood.
Grant Powell poked three hits for the Comets.
Powell and Matthew Miller drove in runs. Josh Young and Joshua Ruch scored runs.
On Wednesday (May 11), the Comets hit the 20-run mark for the third time this season while overpowering Tri-County, 21-5, in Fithian.
Dalton Hobick, Miller, Noah Phillips, Brady Taflinger and Young all pounded three hits. Contributing two hits was Chase Harrison.
Hobick scored four runs and Young tallied three. Travis Tiernan delivered four RBI. Hobick and Taflinger picked up three RBI apiece.
Hobick and Tiernan swatted home runs.
Taflinger picked up the pitching win with 1 2/3 innings of scoreless relief.
Oakwood (14-11) returns to action on Saturday (May 14) at Champaign Central.
