Oakwood dropped a 17-2 decision at Marshall on Monday (May 16) in a first-round Cass 2A regional softball contest.
The Comets (7-20) were held to three hits. Ashlynn Pinnick, Alaina Rothwell and Karsen Rupp had the Oakwood hits.
Rupp (one inning) and Gracie Enos (2 2/3 innings) shared the pitching load.
The team’s seniors were Lacey Harrison, Cloe Johnson, Savannah Nevitt, Pinnick, Rothwell, Rupp and Madison Stuebe.
