The Culpepper and Merriweather Circus will visit Homer, Ill. on August 16 with two 90-minute shows at 5 and 7 p.m.
The circus tent will be raised behind the Village Hall building at 9:30 a.m. Community members are invited to join, learn about life on the road, see the animals and get a behind-the-scenes look at the show.
The Culpepper & Merriweather Circus is in its 37th year. Signature acts are the big cats with Trey Key, aerialists Simone and Kelly, the Loyal Bareback Horse Riders, the Perez Daredevil Duo, Clown Leo Acton and Brandon Ayala on the Rola Bola.
Tickets can be purchased at the Homer Village Hall/Library, Don’s Auto, Ms. Becky’s, and St. Joseph Automotive & Diesel. Advance ticket prices: $7 for children and seniors and $12 for adults. Box Office tickets will cost $15 for adults and $8 for seniors and children.
