Oakwood’s Case Kopacz won medalist honors by two shots on Friday (Aug. 12) in a four-school meet at Danville’s Turtle Run Golf Course.
Kopacz fired a 39.
Other leaders for the Comets were Kyle McFarland (53), Mason Goodner (54), Nate Stewart (58), Lily Hardin (70) and Gage Warren (73).
Team honors were captured by Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin (192) followed by Milford (201), Oakwood (204) and Hoopeston Area (224).
On Thursday (Aug. 11), at Danville’s Harrison Park, Oakwood tied for ninth in a 17-school scramble.
Arcola/Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond was first with a 56. Oakwood’s tally was 69.
The Comets return to action on Monday (Aug. 15) at the Urbana Tiger Kick-Off Classic at Urbana Country Club.
