Spartan volleyball bounces back with in over Georgetown-Ridge Farm

St. Joseph-Ogden bounced back from a loss in its season-opener to hand visiting Georgetown-Ridge Farm a 25-8, 25-20 volleyball loss on Wednesday (Aug. 24).
Taylor Hug handed out 20 assists.
Sharing the hitting duties were Addie Roesch (nine kills), Shayne Immke (five kills) and Peyton Williams (five kills).
Williams served a match-high four aces, Roesch collected five digs and Immke contributed four digs. Teammate Sadie Ericksen ended with a team-high seven digs.
On Monday (Aug. 22), Hug recorded 26 assists and 12 digs, but SJ-O dropped a 26-24, 24-26, 25-17 decision in its home-opener to Maroa-Forsyth.
Immke and Williams supplied a majority of the offensive firepower with 12 and six kills, respectively. Immke registered six digs and Williams had three digs.
SJ-O (1-1) returns to action on Thursday (Aug. 25) at home against Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin.
