Hawks open volleyball season with win

Bryn Wyant and Adena Paul led the offensive attack for Heritage on Thursday (Aug. 25) as the Hawks opened their home volleyball schedule with a 25-17, 25-23 verdict over Salt Fork.
Wyant powered six kills and Paul landed five kills to go with two blocks and three aces. Wyant contributed seven digs and one ace.
Mary Roland doled out 16 assists while Lilli Montgomery led all defenders with 16 digs. Montgomery also had two assists. Roland chipped in with seven digs, two blocks and two aces.
Also helping were Riley Miller (three kills and two digs), Gracie Tate (seven digs, two aces and one kill) as well as Destanee Morgan (three digs, one kill and one ace).
Heritage (1-2) returns to action on Tuesday (Aug. 30) at home against Oakwood.
