Franzen places third at Cowchip Classic

Sophomore Savanna Franzen placed third for St. Joseph-Ogden on Saturday (Sept. 3) in the flighted Chrisman Girls’ Cross-Country Classic.
She ran the 3-mile layout in 18 minutes, 41.5 seconds in the race for No. 1 runners from each school.
SJ-O did not have enough runners to be scored as a team.
Other Spartan participants were Chloe Burkhalter (fourth for No. 2 runners in 20:48.5); Sophia Kasper (ninth for No. 3 runners in 23:28.1); Sydney Steinbach (14th for No. 4 runners in 24:49.9); Hannah Mock (ninth for No. 5 runners in 23:53.1) and Kaytlyn Baker (second for No. 7 runners in 23:28.4).
SJ-O will return to action on Tuesday (Sept. 6) in a meet at Kickapoo State Park against Oakwood/Salt Fork and Armstrong-Potomac.
