Russell finishes third at PBL Invite

Macie Russell finished third for Oakwood/Salt Fork in the 56-runner Paxton-Buckley-Loda girls’ cross-country invitational on Saturday (Sept. 10).

She ran the 3-mile course in 19 minutes and 52 seconds.

Other runners for the Comets were Kalie Tison (34^th in 23:57) and Gracie Hanner (51^st in 27:34).

In the 81-person boys’ race, the top Oakwood/Salt Fork finisher was Bryson Capansky (54^th in 21:30). Other teammates in the race were Brayden Edwards (55^th in 21:41), Logan Henthorn (58^th in 21:48) and Ben Darling (68^th in 22:53).

Oakwood/Salt Fork returns to action in the Vermilion County Meet on Tuesday (Sept. 13) at Kickapoo State Park.
