Oakwood/Salt Fork’s Macie Russell won the Vermilion County girls’ cross-country 3-mile race on Tuesday (Sept. 13) at Kickapoo State Park.
Her time was 20 minutes, 52.30 seconds.
Three other teammates placed among the top 11.
Kalie Tison ran sixth (25:00.17), Addie Wright was 10th (29:21.84) and Gracie Hanner was 11th (29:32.53).
Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin won team honors in both the girls’ and the boys’ events. B-H/R-A was the only school to field a full team.
In the boys’ 3-mile race, Oakwood’s Bryson Capansky ended fifth in 20:17.09. Logan Henthorn was eighth (21:03.35) and Ben Darling was 12th in the 21-runner race (22:44.96).
Oakwood/Salt Fork will return to action on Saturday (Sept. 17) in the Richard Spring Invitational in Peoria at Detweiller Park.
