Clark Roland finishes as runner-up at Champaign County cross country meet

Heritage’s Clark Roland was the individual runner-up on Tuesday (Sept. 27) in the 13-school Champaign County boys’ cross-country meet at Tolono Unity.

Roland’s 2-mile time was 11 minutes, 8.5 seconds.

The only other Heritage entry in the boys’ varsity race was 10^th-place Christian Paul (12:02.6). The varsity race featured 90 runners.

Heritage did not have enough runners to be scored as a team in either the boys’ or the girls’ races.

The lone Heritage competitor in the girls’ 84-runner varsity race was Leah Delrossi (57^th in 16:11.0).

Two of her teammates participated in the girls’ 127-runner open race.

Gwen Keely ran 55^th in 16:48.5. Teammate Rylen Stierwalt was 59^th in 16:55.2.
