Senior Jessica Gadbury earned a 6-2, 6-1 victory at No. 6 singles on Wednesday (Oct. 5) for St. Joseph-Ogden, which dropped an 8-1 decision in girls’ tennis at Danville Schlarman.
Gadbury topped Karlee Belton.
A hard-luck loser for the Spartans was junior Lauren Lannert at No. 5 singles. She took a 7-6, 7-6 loss to Anna Lehmann.
SJ-O (0-11) returns to action on Thursday (Oct. 6) at Urbana’s Blair Park against the Tigers.
