Goalkeeper Hunter Ketchum stopped seven shots and St. Joseph-Ogden made a first-half goal by Logan Mills stand up in a 1-0 soccer win at Monticello on Tuesday (Oct. 4).
Mills’ goal was assisted by Alex Accosta.
The shutout was the eighth of the season for SJ-O.
On Monday (Oct. 3), goalkeepers Spencer Wilson and Carter Mabry teamed up for a shutout at home as the Spartans blanked Watseka, 4-0.
Mabry finished with four saves.
Ryker Lockhart provided the Spartans with an early lead. He was assisted by Aiden Cromwell.
The other SJ-O goals were netted by Accosta, Zach Harper and Collin Thomey. Will Page and Jackson Greer also provided assists.
SJ-O (15-4-1) returns to action for its regular-season finale on Thursday (Oct. 6) at Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond.
