SJ-O volleyball reaches 25-win mark

St. Joseph-Ogden’s volleyball team reached the 25-win mark for the season with back-to-back road triumphs to start the week.
The Spartans prevailed at Warrensburg-Latham on Monday (Oct. 17), 25-16, 25-18, and then overpowered Paxton-Buckley-Loda, 25-20, 25-18 on Tuesday (Oct. 18).
Addie Roesch pounded a team-high 10 kills at PBL and also contributed five digs and two service aces.
Peyton Williams registered seven digs, five kills and one ace.
Taylor Hug directed the offense and handed out 18 assists to go with five digs, three kills and one ace.
Mikyla Haley and Emma Ward each recorded six digs. Haley served two aces and Ward landed one ace.
Against Warrensburg-Latham, Hug, Roesch and Shayne Immke each posted double-doubles.
Hug had 24 assists and 10 digs. Roesch totaled 12 digs, 11 kills and three aces. Immke produced 13 digs and 10 kills. Ward added 10 digs.
SJ-O (25-8) concludes the regular season on Thursday (Oct. 20) at home against Bloomington Central Catholic. The Spartans are 7-1 in Illini Prairie Conference matches.
