SJ-O Volleyball wins Regional Championship

Mikaya Haley posted 10 digs and Shayne Immke slammed 10 kills on Thursday (Oct. 27) as St. Joseph-Ogden captured a volleyball regional championship for the eighth time in the past decade.
Playing the host school in the Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin IHSA Class 2A regional tournament, the Spartans needed three sets to repel the Blue Devils, 25-10, 22-25, 25-19.
Immke also added nine digs and two blocks. Taylor Hug turned in 19 assists.
Addie Roesch contributed 12 digs, five kills and one block while Peyton Williams registered six digs, four kills and three blocks.
SJ-O (28-8) owns a five-match winning streak heading into a sectional semifinal showdown at 6 p.m. on Monday (Oct. 31) at Riverton against Williamsville.
The Spartans are chasing their third sectional volleyball crown in the past seven years.
