McComas leads Hawks over Shiloh

Kale McComas torched Shiloh for 22 points on Tuesday (Nov. 8) as the Heritage eighth-grade boys’ basketball team posted a 49-24 victory in their home-opener.
Clark Roland scored eight points, James Dillon had seven and Cameron Johnson made six points.
On Thursday (Nov. 10), the eighth-graders dropped a 43-36 decision at Armstrong-Potomac. McComas scored 12 points. Roland hit 10 points and Johnson added seven points.
On Monday (Nov. 14), the eighth-graders were edged at home by Rossville-Alvin, 44-38, despite a 13-point showing by Roland.
Two teammates joined him in double figures. Dillon hooped 12 points and Johnson contributed 10.
In the seventh-grade home-opener, Shiloh held on for a 42-38 victory over Heritage.
Johnson netted a team-high 15 points for Heritage. Landin McComas contributed 10 points and DaKarai Hill connected for seven points.
Against A-P, Heritage posted a 43-18 victory.
Johnson notched a team-high 14 points. Landin McComas notched 11 points and Hill ended with eight points.
The seventh-graders topped Rossville-Alvin, 29-19. Johnson netted a game-high 16 points and McComas recorded 10 points.
That duo accounted for all of the team’s second-half points as Heritage recovered from a one-point halftime deficit.
Both Heritage teams return to action on Thursday (Nov. 17) at Gifford. The seventh-graders have a 3-1 record. The eighth-graders are 1-3.
