Addie Wright scored a team-high 16 points in the season-opener for the Oakwood girls’ basketball team on Monday (Nov. 14), but the Comets dropped a 45-31 decision at home to Arcola.
Jaydah Arrowsmith made six points and Mady Nicoson contributed four points.
Oakwood (0-1) returns to action on Saturday (Nov. 19) in first-round action of its own eight-team Comet Classic. Oakwood will play Westville in the 4 p.m. contest.
