Oakwood went to the free throw line 40 times on Thursday (Dec. 1) and connected on 18 of the attempts to turn back visiting Rantoul, 50-21.

The Comets turned a 10-6 lead after one quarter into a 29-15 margin at halftime. Jaydah Arrowsmith and Cherokee Hanner each tallied six second-quarter points.

Addie Wright swished a game-high 16 points. Nikita Taylor recorded 11 points and Arrowsmith ended with 10 points.

Oakwood (4-3) returns to action on Monday (Dec. 5) at Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin.
