Heritage JH teams pick up wins at Hoopeston

Both the seventh- and eighth-grade boys’ basketball teams from Heritage captured wins on Thursday (Dec. 1) at Hoopeston Area.
The eighth-graders prevailed, 43-37. The seventh-graders were triumphant, 34-22.
Clark Roland led the way in the eighth-grade game against Hoopeston with 13 points. Kale McComas wound up with 12 points and James Dillon notched 11 points.
In the seventh-grade game, Cameron Johnson hit a season-high 23 points in the Heritage win. Landin McComas contributed 10 points.
On Monday (Dec. 5), Johnson registered 21 points as the seventh-graders earned a 35-22 win at Salt Fork. Landin McComas tossed in eight points in the team’s third successive win.
The eighth-graders suffered a narrow 36-30 loss at Salt Fork. Kale McComas notched 15 points and was followed closely by Roland with 14 points.
Heritage returns to action on Thursday (Dec. 8) at home against Bismarck-Henning. The seventh-graders have a 6-4 record. The eighth-graders are 2-8.
