Taylor Hug scores career-high against Peoria Richwoods

Senior Taylor Hug poured in a career-high 21 points on Monday (Dec. 12), but the St. Joseph-Ogden girls’ basketball team dropped a 58-51 decision at home to Peoria Richwoods.
The schools were tied, 36-36, after three quarters.
Hug drained five three-point shots and connected on 2-of-3 free throws for her top scoring performance.
Addison Frick totaled 13 points, Addie Seggebruch contributed eight points, Addy Martinie had seven points and Olivia Baltzell added two points.
On Thursday (Dec. 8), the Spartans suffered a 52-28 loss at Teutopolis.
Frick fired in a team-best 12 points. Martinie scored six points. Netting three points apiece were Baltzell and Kaytlyn Baker, each of whom knocked down a three-pointer.
SJ-O (3-6) returns to action on Thursday (Dec. 15) at Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin.
