Pence’s 30 leads Spartans for victory over BH/RA

Senior Ty Pence reached the 30-point mark for the third time this season, leading the St. Joseph-Ogden boys’ basketball team to a 66-52 victory in its first road game on Tuesday (Dec. 20) at Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin.
The Illinois State University recruit also latched onto seven rebounds, sharing the team-lead in that category with McGwire Atwood.
Coy Taylor chipped in with 10 points, Tanner Jacob hit nine points and Logan Smith added eight points.
The state’s fifth-ranked Class 2A team returns to action – as the No. 1 seed next week in the small-school division of the State Farm Classic at various Bloomington-Normal high school. The Spartans’ opener will be at noon on Tuesday (Dec. 27) at Normal West High School against No. 16 seed Annawan.
