Williams scores 23 in game against Villa Grove

Senior Drew Williams put together a 23-point performance on Thursday (Dec. 29), but Heritage suffered a narrow 65-58 loss to Villa Grove in the final day of the BSN Classic at Broadlands.

Timmy Wilson drilled a season-high four three-point shots and wound up with 14 points for the Hawks. Teammates Julliyan Gray (12 points) and Robert Holloman (five points) were other top scorers.

Heritage led, 16-15, after one period, but trailed at halftime, 31-27.

In the seventh-place game on Thursday, the Hawks were beaten by Indiana Math & Science, 71-31.

All-tournament pick Rylan White led Heritage with eight points. Gray scored six points and Holloman contributed five points. In five tournament games, White connected for 12 three-pointers.

Indiana Math & Science led, 23-10, after one quarter and 37-12 at halftime.

Heritage (3-11) returns to action on Tuesday (Jan. 3) at Toledo Cumberland.
