Comets pick up fourth straight win over Chrisman

Tanner Pichon recorded a season-high 21 points on Friday (Jan. 6) at Chrisman, sparking the Oakwood boys’ basketball team to its fourth straight win, a 74-47 decision over the Cardinals.
The Comets produced a balanced scoring attack. Other key contributors were Dalton Hobick (17 points), Alec Harrison (11 points), Brody Taflinger (10 points), Jackson Dudley (5 points) and Josh Ruch (5 points).
Oakwood meshed 11 of 15 free throws and had five players connect on a shot from three-point range: Derek Drews, Dudley, Harrison, Pichon and Ruch.
The Comets zipped into a 23-8 lead after one period and extended the cushion to 42-16 at halftime.
The Comets (13-5) return to action on Tuesday (Jan. 10) at Milford.
