Hawks defeat AL-AH in overtime

Drew Williams reached the 20-point mark for the third time this season, compiling a 21-point total on Friday (Jan. 6) as Heritage outlasted Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond, 72-64, in overtime at home.
Julliyan Gray (15 points) and Joel Bear (12 points) each hit a season’s high for scoring. Timmy Wilson contributed 10 points while Aaron Coffin and Rylan White each finished with seven points.
Heritage led 13-10 after one quarter, but the teams were tied, 53-53, at the end of regulation. The Hawks reeled off 19 points in OT and held the visitors to 11 points.
In halting a four-game losing skid, the Hawks matched their top scoring output of the season.
Heritage (4-12) returns to action on Tuesday (Jan. 10) at Argenta-Oreana.
