Hawks cruise past Blue Ridge

Seniors Drew Williams and Aaron Coffin had their top-scoring performances of the season on Friday (Jan. 13) as Heritage cruised past Blue Ridge, 68-36, in a boys’ basketball game in Farmer City.

Williams pumped in 30 points and Coffin produced 17 points as the Hawks won for the second time in their last three games.

Rylan White, who connected on two three-point shots, added 13 points.

Heritage led, 12-8, after one quarter and carried a slender 37-29 lead into the final eight minutes.

On Saturday (Jan. 14), Williams popped in 33 points as the Hawks won at home over Champaign Judah Christian, 63-47.

Timmy Wilson fired in two three-pointers and contributed 10 points. Coffin scored eight points and Joel Bear added seven. Julliyan Gray contributed five points.

Heritage led, 11-4, after one quarter and 32-19 at halftime.

The Hawks (6-13) return to action on Tuesday (Jan. 17) at home against Decatur Lutheran.
