Hawks begin 2023 with back-to-back wins

The Heritage eighth-grade boys’ basketball team started the 2023 portion of its season with back-to-back wins at home.
On Thursday (Jan 5), Heritage upended Tri-County, 56-36, with Clark Roland hitting 14 points and James Dillon adding 10 points.
On Monday (Jan. 9), Heritage edged Next Generation, 48-44. Kale McComas landed a team-high 19 points and Roland was right behind with 18 points.
The eighth-graders have a 5-11 overall record.
The Heritage seventh-graders also captured consecutive wins, starting with a 50-31 verdict over Tri-County.
Cameron Johnson popped in a career-high 32 points. Dylan Kirschner contributed 10 points.
In a 47-28 victory over Next Generation, Heritage was led by Johnson’s 15 points. Kirschner tallied five points.
The seventh-graders have a 10-6 season mark.
Heritage returns to action on Thursday (Jan. 19) in its home- and regular-season finale, against Prairieview Ogden.
