Panthers pick up three wins over last week

Playing games on four consecutive nights, the St. Joseph eighth-grade boys’ basketball team went 3-1.
The week concluded on Thursday (Jan. 12) with a 56-26 win at home over Champaign St. Matthew.
Cam Wagner hit 11 points and Tyler Hess chipped in with eight points as the Panthers had their highest-scoring output of the season.
On Wednesday (Jan. 11), St. Joseph lost at Mount Zion, 29-25. Nolan Franzen made a team-high eight points and Brayden Waller finished with five points.
On Tuesday (Jan. 10), the Panthers prevailed at home over Champaign Jefferson, 36-19. Wagner tallied 12 points and Franzen contributed 11 points.
The week started on Monday (Jan. 9) with a 38-31 win at home over Prairieview Ogden. Wagner totaled 15 points and Waller collected 11 points.
St. Joseph (18-3) returns to action on Thursday (Jan. 19) in its home- and regular-season finale against Paxton-Buckley-Loda.
