SJ-O picks up Illini Prairie Conference win

St. Joseph-Ogden connected on nine three-point shots on Thursday (Jan. 19) and recorded a 52-23 Illini Prairie Conference victory at Monticello.

Addy Martinie led a balanced SJ-O attack with 12 points. Taylor Hug tallied 11 points and Addison Frick netted 10 points.

Martinie and Frick tossed in two three-pointers apiece. Hug hit three from long range. The Spartans’ other three-pointers were from Olivia Baltzell, who made two.

SJ-O expanded a 19-9 lead after one quarter into a 37-12 edge at halftime.

The Spartans (9-13) return to action on Monday (Jan. 23) at home against Mattoon.
