Dalton Hobick scored 17 points on Tuesday (Feb. 7) for Oakwood’s boys’ basketball team, which suffered a 63-42 loss at Vermilion Valley Conference leader Salt Fork in Catlin.
Salt Fork is 24-2 overall and 10-0 in the VVC. The Storm vaulted into a 15-9 lead after one quarter and went ahead, 32-22, at halftime.
Josh Ruch registered seven points for the Comets. Alec Harrison hit six points, Bryson McDaniel made five points and Jackson Dudley finished with four points.
Oakwood (19-9) is 6-4 in VVC games and returns to action on Friday (Feb. 10) at home against Schlarman Academy.
