Wright and Arrowsmith named to Vermilion All-County girls’ basketball team

Oakwood senior Addie Wright and junior Jaydah Arrowsmith were two of the 10 first-team selections for the Vermilion All-County girls’ basketball team.
Wright scored in double figures in 20 games for the 17-16 Comets and averaged a team-best 13.0 points per game.
Arrowsmith was the team’s top three-pointer shooter, nailing 23 of the long-range shots during a season where she averaged 8.5 points per game.
One Oakwood player received recognition on the All-County team. Senior Kalie Tison was one of seven players chosen for the honorable mention list.
In separate voting for the Vermilion All-Conference team, Wright was one of five players accorded first-team laurels. Arrowsmith was one of six third-team choices.
Senior Cherokee Hanner was among the 13 special mention picks.
