Sophomore Zaien Smith had the lone hit for Heritage, which suffered a 20-0 loss in its baseball season-opener on Tuesday (March 14) at Marshall.
Smith had a single.
Heritage pitchers Julliyan Gray, Robert Holloman and Lucas Miller combined to walk just two batters. Miller worked the final 1 1/3 innings and didn’t allow a hit, while striking out one batter.
Heritage returns to action on Thursday (March 16) in its home-opener against the Urbana junior varsity.
