Oakwood Baseball defeats Bismark

Travis Tiernan shut down the Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin bats on Monday (April 3), pitching Oakwood’s baseball team to a 4-1 victory in Bismarck.
Tiernan allowed four hits and two walks. He struck out a season-high 10 batters. He needed last-inning relief help from Dalton Hobick, who worked a scoreless frame and fanned one hitter.
Matthew Miller went 4-for-4 to pace the Comets’ offense. Tiernan socked three hits and Hobick collected two hits. Josh Ruch also landed two hits.
Hobick tallied two runs.
Oakwood (6-2-1) returns to action on Friday (April 7) at home against Iroquois West. The Comets are 1-0 in Vermilion Valley Conference play.
