Hawks track and field places third at Monticello Invite

Two relays and discus-thrower Robert Holloman were the top placers for the Heritage boys’ track and field team on Friday (April 14) in the non-scored Monticello Invitational.
The Hawks took third in the distance medley relay, with a time of 12 minutes, 20.18 seconds.
The relay consisted of Zach Ruwe, Timmy Wilson, Cohen Sands and Rowan Denmark-Collins.
Heritage’s 3,200-meter relay ended in fifth place. They stopped the clock in 9:28.64.
Sharing the baton were Rowan Denmark-Collins, Eli Denmark-Collins, Sands and Ruwe.
The team’s top individual performance was by Holloman. He ended 15th out of 49 competitors in the discus, with a personal-best toss of 113 feet, 4 inches.
Heritage will return to action on Tuesday (April 18) at Toledo Cumberland.
