Loran Tate finished second in the triple jump (personal-best 33 feet, 1 inch) on Thursday (April 20) in the Westville Tiger girls’ track and field invitational.
The Hawks’ 400-meter relay unit of Tate, Madi Wilson, Alex Tatman and Savannah Gilliland ended third (55.59 seconds).
The five-school invitational was postponed by weather conditions after six of 17 girls’ events were completed. Blue Ridge was leading with 66 points and Heritage was in fourth (14 points) when the invitational was stopped.
