Loran Tate and Adena Paul were the top placers for the Heritage girls’ track and field team on Tuesday (April 25) at a six-school meet at Champaign Central.
Tate finished fourth in the triple jump (30 feet, 1 inch). Paul took fifth in the shot put (28 feet, 3 inches).
Tate ended 13th in the 200 meters (30.5 seconds) and ran a leg on the seventh-place 400-meter relay (57.58 seconds). She teamed up with Madi Wilson, Alex Tatman and Savanah Gilliland.
Lillian Montgomery captured eighth in the 800 meters (personal-best 2:51.84).
Other leaders for the Hawks were Gilliland (11th in the long jump at a personal-best 13 feet, 5 inches), Bailee Lubben (14th in the shot put at 20 feet, 1 inch) and the seventh-place 1,600-meter relay.
Sharing the baton in the relay were Tatman, Wilson, Montgomery and Gilliland. They were timed in 5:22.5.
Heritage will return to action on Friday (April 28) at the Monticello Invitational.
