The Heritage 3,200-meter relay broke a school record and captured a seventh-place finish on Friday (April 27) in the Spartan Classic at St. Joseph-Ogden High School.
With Aidan Ashbrook, Cohen Sands, Rowan Denmark-Collins and Zach Ruwe handling the baton, the Hawks were timed in 9 minutes, 4.36 seconds. They shattered the previous record by more than 5 ½ seconds.
The same foursome competed in the 1,600-meter relay and ended in 15th place. Their time was 4:03.52.
Individually, Denmark-Collins was 17th in the 1,600 meters (5:14.68).
Heritage will return to action on Monday (May 1) at Tuscola.
