Champaign Central defeats Oakwood Softball

Oakwood scored all of its runs in the top of the first inning on Thursday (May 4), but lost a 12-3 softball decision at Champaign Central.
Olivia Fegett drove in two of the Comets’ runs. Teammates with hits were Bella Bradford, Matilyn Griffis and Karleigh Nelson.
Gracie Enos pitched six innings, walking one and striking out four batters. She absorbed the loss.
On Friday (May 5), the Comets were held hitless at Westville and dropped a 15-0 decision. Caydence Vermillion pitched three innings and recorded three strikeouts.
Oakwood (7-18) returns to action on Monday (May 8) at home against Georgetown-Ridge Farm.
