Destin Nickle scored the lone Heritage run in the third inning on Monday (May 8) as the Hawks dropped an 11-1 baseball decision at Okaw Valley.
Heritage was held to two hits, singles by Robert Holloman and Rylan White. Holloman and Julliyan Gray each stole two bases.
Gray pitched the first five innings. He walked two batters and struck out six.
On Tuesday (May 9), Joey Markstahler drove in Gray in the fifth inning with the Hawks’ lone run in an 11-1 loss at Salt Fork. Zaien Smith had the only Heritage hit.
On Wednesday (May 10), Heritage dropped its home-finale to Casey-Westfield, 30-1. Holloman was 2-for-2. Haiden Davis produced the Hawks’s third hit, which drove in Lucas Miller.
Heritage (2-19) returns to action on Monday (May 15) in a quarterfinal Class 1A regional game at fifth-seeded Villa Grove. Heritage is the No. 11 seed.
