Comets end softball season with win

Gracie Hanner and Sophia Hart each drove in three runs on Thursday (May 11) as the Oakwood softball team ended the regular season with a 13-2 win at Heritage.
Hanner and Hart delivered two hits apiece as did teammate Samantha Dunavan, who stole two bases.
Gracie Enos reached base four times by drawing walks.
Enos pitched all five innings to earn the win. She yielded six hits and one walk while striking out five batters.
The Comets (9-18) return to action on Monday (May 15) in a quarterfinal game of the Sullivan Class 2A Regional. Oakwood, the No. 11 seed, faces No 5 seed Sullivan. The winner will face third-seeded St. Joseph-Ogden on Tuesday (May 16) in the semifinals at Sullivan.
