Four Heritage athletes and two relays secured top-10 finishes on Thursday (May 11) in the Class 1A girls’ track and field sectional meet at Paxton-Buckley-Loda.

The Hawks’ top finisher was Lillian Montgomery, who raced to a third-place finish in the 3,200 meters (14:52.08).

Loran Tate had matching sixth-place finishes, the long jump (15 feet, 2 inches) and the triple jump (32 feet, 6 inches).

Adena Paul was 10th in the shot put (27 feet, 4 inches).

The top two Heritage relays featured the same four runners.

The unit of Tate, Madi Wilson, Savanah Gilliland and Alex Tatman ended eighth in the 800-meter relay (2:04.04) and 10th in the 400-meter relay (57.00 seconds).

The Hawks did not have any state-qualifiers.
